Welcome to the Memphis Rotary Club
Chartered on February 1, 1914, the Memphis Rotary Club was the 96th club in Rotary International. Over the past 35 years, the club has maintained a service focus on the Memphis City Schools and has given over $2 million for education-related projects and well over 50,000 volunteer hours. However, 2007-2008 was a pivotal year for the club. After embarking on an extensive survey of its membership and the community needs, the club has chosen to focus its local efforts on a specific community in the city and develop service projects in all areas of need: health, crime, environment, education, and legal. The club is concentrating its international efforts through partnering with Stop Hunger Now to package over 110,000 meals for Haiti and will be working to install clean water systems in the country as well.
