Welcome to the Memphis Rotary Club
Chartered on February 1, 1914, the Memphis Rotary Club was the 96th club in Rotary International. Over the past 35 years, the club has maintained a service focus on the Memphis City Schools and has given over $2 million for education-related projects and well over 50,000 volunteer hours. However, 2007-2008 was a pivotal year for the club. After embarking on an extensive survey of its membership and the community needs, the club has chosen to diversify its project efforts into a variety of service areas. The main goal of 2011-2012 is to develop community partnerships with other organizations in a variety of service areas. The club is concentrating its international efforts through partnering with Stop Hunger Now to package close to 200,000 meals for international hunger relief and will be working through Clean Water U to install clean water systems in a developing country as well.
